"Why are we still making packaging with desired lifetimes of an hour, a day or a week out of materials that last hundreds of years?"

No one knows exactly, except for industries that have long profited from this commodification of shipping. Everyone benefits, actually, because it's just easier that way. It feels like a no brainer when you're starting a direct-to-consumer brand, when in fact we should have questioned it all along.

Fortunately for us, there are companies already triggering a change in behavior. Case in point: wastebased, our new packaging supplier, who has spent the past few years obssessing about waste and what to do it. The result is a beautifully designed, resistant and durable, but totally biodegradable package that you will receive from now on any time you order from us.

Made with plants, fully home compostable, non-toxic. That's wastebased's packaging in a nutshell. It It is available in 3 different sizes. Everything about wastebased is music to our ears and it will be for all consumers in a near future, we hope. We know any big change takes time, but disruption needs to happen everywhere, not just when coming up with new stuff to eat, wear or watch on our screens. We know more and more of you feel the same.

If you want to know more about wastebased, which you absolutely should, here's their website.
