MIGUEL ÂNGELO:
A BOLD VOICE IN
FIGURATIVE ART

Stepping into Miguel Ângelo Marques’ atelier in Porto feels like entering a world where Tibetan arrows, sketchy hands, and cinematic crashes from Crash (yes, the Cronenberg one) all coexist.

While he paints with oils that demand patience, he’s also whipping out sketches on graph paper for the sheer joy of "messing up the grid" — his words, not ours.

It’s clear that Miguel thrives in collaboration. His atelier, a shared space with fellow painters, ceramicists, and writers, mirrors his engagement with the artistic community. Between prepping museum exhibitions and running workshops for kids, he’s the perfect mix of socially engaged and artistically obsessive.

Now, the best news: his art is heading to our Chiado and Berlin stores. For those as fascinated by his work as we are, this is an exciting opportunity to witness, and own, a piece of an emerging Portuguese artist whose vibrant, audacious work promises to push the boundaries of contemporary figurative painting.
