We met João a few years ago (find out how here), when he took our Oxford Shirt all the way to Australia and wore it as a uniform to work in a shipyard, until it became a bit wrecked but still highly resistant. Anyway, this is not the story.

In 2021, he started to become dedicated to showcasing a selection of objects, curated from Portugal and abroad, that have not only stood the test of time but also define what it means to live with intention. Every hunted item is recovered second hand, a discovery coming mostly from people who do not place value on these pieces, and has a purpose beyond mere aesthetics.

From iconic furniture pieces that revolutionized interiors to everyday objects that marry utility with beauty, the selection is a tribute to impeccable craftsmanship and intelligent design. Lamps, side tables and many, many chairs — João's personal favorites (the guy could have millions if he could). In fact, a book on Portuguese chairs might just be about to be released.

In a world increasingly dominated by disposables, João takes a different path and celebrates these icons, championing durability and authenticity. We loved getting to know his curation.
