LINEN: FROM NORMANDY
TO THE WORLD

Linen is, without a doubt, Summer’s most iconic fabric — but before it becomes your go-to for warm days, it starts in the rich soil of Normandy. That’s where our flax is grown.

Why Normandy? Today, 3/4 of the flax fibre World's production comes from Western Europe, and France is the world leader in its production. The region’s unique microclimate (cool temperatures, regular rainfall, and gentle breezes) makes it the perfect place to grow premium flax. No irrigation. Not genetically modified. Just nature doing what it does best.

It also helps that flax is a bit of an overachiever. It uses considerably fewer resources than cotton or polyester: less water, energy, pesticides, insecticides, and fertilizers. It grows in poor soils not suitable for food production — and, in some cases, it can even help clean polluted land.
Add to that a naturally high rate of carbon absorption, and it’s easy to see why Linen is one of the most sustainable fibres out there. Even when not organically grown.

We work with partners who follow every step of the way: from growing and harvesting to spinning and weaving. The result is a lightweight, breathable, and entirely natural fabric. So premium we use the same in most of our Linen products: Jackets, Trousers and Shirts.
