A DAY IN MANLY,
SYDNEY

For the first time, we left our familiar streets back home to meet the sun-drenched coast of the land Down Under (also known as Australia).
Kicking off with Sydney. After all, it's hard to deny this city doesn't have it all.

We began our day in Manly, at the Fairy Bower Sea Pool, with the sun barely peeking over the horizon. Between Manly Beach and Shelly Beach, this natural pool just felt perfect for that first dip in the sea. Australians, we quickly learned, are devoted to their morning rituals, with swimming being a top priority. Early risers by nature, they relish the opportunity to soak up the sun from the first light. So, we followed.

Post-swim, we made our way to Rollers Bakehouse, a local favorite. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the beautifully crafted pastries greeted us, with flavors that are quite hard to find anywhere else in the World.

Just a stone's throw away from Rollers is Norma's Deli, the famed "big fat Greek deli." The deli, a staple for anyone visiting, serves up schnitzel, pastrami sandwiches, and focaccias that are as delicious as they are filling. Made for big appetites, their sandwiches could feed you for days. The grocery section of Norma’s is also a treasure which you could spend hours exploring.

Next, a long walk across Fairlight, from Delwood Beach to Manly Boatshed to enjoy the views and the sunset. Along the way, you may find unlimited boats, fishermen casting their lines, and even a shark or two making an appearance in the distance.

To wrap up our day, we dropped off our film at a local shop to be developed. Shooting on film always adds a touch of magic to the experience. It makes you feel excited about the moments immortalized on film, knowing they will soon become cherished memories.
